The Muscatine County Decategorization Project maintains a viable community approach to protect and enhance the lives of at risk youth by engaging community members through service on the Decategorization Board or participation in various focus groups. This approach is directed by the Muscatine County Decategorization Board. Board members represent Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare and elected officials. Decat's board members offer many connections within community agencies and can disseminate accurate information to groups and programs as well as bring back information from these groups to the Decat Board concerning the community's needs.
The Scott County Decategorization Program is governed by the Executive Committee. The members serve as liaisons and representatives of the community to provide information and feedback to ensure that community needs are recognized and modifications are made based on outcomes achievement and program results.
The Quad County Decategorization Project maintains a viable community approach to protect and enhance the lives of at risk youth by engaging community members through service on the Decategorization board or participation in various focus groups. The Quad County Decat was formed from the merger of two former Decat Projects, a number of years ago. Des Moines, Henry, Lee, and Louisa Counties make up the Decat Board's area of purview.
